LLP is a trade publisher specializing in literary fiction, non-fiction, our innovative short Singles essays and occasionally cartoons, all in both print and electronic formats. We have a special love of short books – novella-length fiction and the kinds of essays you can still find in the pages of The New Yorker but not too many other places – and edgy topics, but what we love most are good books that might not see the light of day if it were not for LLP. In addition to publishing books -- currently six or seven titles annually -- LLP also publish the internationally respected online magazine Salon .ll. on its website in both English and French.
This is a publishing programme of great quality, and it has made LLP's one of the most exciting launches on the literary publishing scene in recent years. Within three years of launching its first books, authors of LLP books have won or been nominated for no fewer than ten different national and international honours and prizes. We have attracted the attention of Publishers' Weekly, Times Literary Supplement, Maclean's, Quill & Quire, The Globe & Mail, The Toronto Star, The Gazette, CBC Radio's The Sunday Edition, Montreal Review of Books, etc. We invite you to explore this website, where you can read short essays by Linda Leith and other writers on Salon .ll., find out about Leith and her own books, check out news and reviews of all LLP titles, and purchase a print copy or download an electronic copy of one of our books.
